Testimony Time! This past Friday my daughter Hadara came down quickly with a high fever and started to show signs of flu. Ruben and I watched her fever and took care of her all night Friday and Saturday. We noticed a funny dot on her cheek so we were off to the Emergency room Saturday afternoon. Here we are at hospital waiting for doctor to come in with results. Well, all her tests came up negative and they sent us home with a virus diagnosis. By Sunday, yesterday she was so much better. Her fever was gone. Friday when her symptoms first began, I messaged friends and family to start praying. Some of those were you. You know who you are! Well, Praise God! The Lord is good and prayers work. It’s always hard when our children are sick short term or long term. Yet, it’s the Lord Jesus who gets us through these hard times and sad times. We saw a movie on Saturday evening called, The First of May on TBN. It was so good. I recommend you see it. Well, there was a line in the movie and the boy asks the Grandma, “Why doesn’t happiness last?”. She answered him, “there are happy and sad times. If we didn’t have sad times, we wouldn’t recognize how great the happy times can be, so enjoy the happy times while you can”. This blessed me so much because it’s so true. Enjoy our children in good and bad. Loving them unconditionally, which is hard to do sometimes. Yet, the Lord has taught me through Hadara’s neck injury this summer and even times like this how much I really love my daughter and how a mother’s love can go and grow so deep. Imagine how much more our Father God loves us. Deep, down from His heart. So, just wanted to let you all know, Hadara is doing better Praise the Lord for He still heals today. He is a Living God! Blessings and Shalom,
Where does the time go? I look at my beautiful daughter and it saddens me to see her baby face slowly disappearing. Yet, joy fills my heart knowing she is becoming a beautiful girl after God’s own heart.
I think of the gentle tender moments of childhood.
The innocent age of grace.
I am inspired by my beautiful little girl.
Her precious heart that loves so deep.
Her kindness that overflows
Her talents so great
Her voice so dear
Her contagious chuckle
Sweet dimples and all
I love that little girl!
The blessing of motherhood is bittersweet isn’t it?
I can not keep her little, nor do I desire.
For she is meant to grow.
She is becoming.
Lord, help me not to squander this great opportunity.
I want to please You by taking utmost care of this wonderful child that you’ve given me.
For she is your beauty
She is my bundle of JOY!
Lord, shine your light down on my Hadara Rose.
Children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psalm 127: 3
Mamas, hold your children extra tight today.
Love them unconditionally.
Spend time with them like it was your last day on earth.
Make those Mama moments count!
What are some ways you keep the little in your little ones?
This post is dedicated to all the Mamas in the Little Pink Casa today! Has anyone told you, “you are amazing?”. Has anyone told you, “you are not a failure?”. Has anyone told you, “you are a masterpiece?”. Well, today I am telling you!
This past Friday, I took my Mama out for a Mom’s Day out! Got her out of the house and drove us down to the theatre to see Moms’ Night Out!
I can’t tell you enough how much this movie is a blessing for Mama’s out there! I would love to dedicate more time on another post about the influence this movie had on my Mother, but today just know that it’s a movie you definitely need to see!
Here is another short film that I think you should watch. It’s not big or in Hollywood, but it’s a story of a mother’s love. How deep is a mother’s love for her child? So deep. Love never fails. Click Here to see the video, called “My Beautiful Woman”.
Enjoy your day, Mama! However it may turn out.
I’ve been there where some Mother’s Day’s aren’t all they are cracked up to be.
But remember, mother’s day is everyday in God’s eyes.
It don’t matter what gifts you get now, or don’t. It don’t matter where your family takes you out to dinner or not. It doesn’t matter what flowers you get or don’t. What matters is that you know YOU MATTER!

Hello y’all! I’m back. October was a very hectic month. We started the month with the beginning of our new family ministry. All is well and God is good. I will fill you in more on that in another post. I’ve missed writing and posting for you all and I couldn’t wait to get back to you! November is here. Can you believe it? Thanksgiving and Chanukah together in our home this month, wowza!
So as I was doing my study about the fruits of the Spirit in October, I found such a great parallel between the Proverbs 31 Woman and the fruits of the Spirit. You know, I just had to share it with you. That’s what sisters do.
I took apart different verses about the Proverbs 31 woman and categorized them as a fruit of the Spirit.
This is what I came up with: Proverbs 31:10-31 from the Complete Jewish Bible Version Faithfulness
א 10 Who can find a capable wife? Her value is far beyond that of pearls. ב 11 Her husband trusts her from his heart, and she will prove a great asset to him. ג 12 She works to bring him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
ד 13 She procures a supply of wool and flax and works with willing hands. ה 14 She is like those merchant vessels, bringing her food from far away. ו 15 It’s still dark when she rises to give food to her household and orders to the young women serving her.
ז 16 She considers a field, then buys it, and from her earnings she plants a vineyard. ח 17 She gathers her strength around her and throws herself into her work. ט 18 She sees that her business affairs go well; her lamp stays lit at night.
י 19 She puts her hands to the staff with the flax; her fingers hold the spinning rod.
כ 20 She reaches out to embrace the poor and opens her arms to the needy.
ל 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; since all of them are doubly clothed. מ 22 She makes her own quilts; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
נ 23 Her husband is known at the city gates when he sits with the leaders of the land.
Patience ס 24 She makes linen garments and sells them; she supplies the merchants with sashes.
Joy and Peace
ע 25 Clothed with strength and dignity, she can laugh at the days to come.
Gentleness פ 26 When she opens her mouth, she speaks wisely; on her tongue is loving instruction.
Self-Control צ 27 She watches how things go in her house, not eating the bread of idleness.
Peace and Joy
ק 28 Her children arise; they make her happy; her husband too, as he praises her:
Joy and Goodness ר 29 “Many women have done wonderful things, but you surpass them all!”
ש 30 Charm can lie, beauty can vanish, but a woman who fears Adonai should be praised.
Faithfulness ת 31 Give her a share in what she produces; let her works speak her praises at the city gates.
I had to double check, but I’m sure I got them all, all nine of them to be exact. I thought this would be a great way for us women to see how the Proverbs 31 Woman exhibited the very fruits which show that we are a true believer in Jesus Yeshua (Jesus’ Name in Hebrew). Did you know that the fruits of the Spirit is evidence the Holy Spirit is working through you? Here is another extra bonus for studying the fruits. How to check yourself?
What are the fruits of the Spirit you are working on lately? We are a work in progress aren’t we? Praise God for He gives us the power to grow. Amen?
“Three times I begged the Lord to take this thing away from me; but he told me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is brought to perfection in weakness.” Therefore, I am very happy to boast about my weaknesses, in order that the Messiah’s power will rest upon me. Yes, I am well pleased with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions and difficulties endured on behalf of the Messiah; for it is when I am weak that I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12: 8-10

I enjoy October for the pumpkin everything: pies, candles, coffee! Yup, there’s just something about waking up in the morning and opening up my windows to feel the fresh cool air. It’s so exciting to enter a new season isn’t it? There’s a sense of new beginnings on the horizon. Starting over. I just love that.
Lately, the Lord has been preparing me for this new season. Not just in the physical, but in the spiritual. I have felt a sudden urgency to study Galatians 5:22-23 and work on my fruits. I’m not perfect. Yes I can say that. I know that as Moms, we sometimes strive for perfection or strive to be that “perfect Mom” whoever she is? Exactly. She don’t exist! And there is no such thing as “super Mom” either. So, it’s okay to say we don’t got it all together. God created us to be Moms for the children He has blessed us to love. He is shaping us and molding us. Even in those tough moments, He is perfecting us.
I asked my daughter one day to be honest and tell me which fruit of the spirit I needed to work on and she sure nailed it! She then asked me which fruits I thought she needed help with and she agreed. It was a humbling moment, yet it was truth for all of us. It’s time to be real isn’t? And it’s sad to say, that we do fall short. Working on our fruits involves working on ourselves, our hearts.
Examine me, God and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts.
As Women of God, we need to show forth these traits in our daily lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Jesus said in Matthew 7:16, we will be recognized by our fruits. A life completely devoted to Jesus shows forth these fruits. I want that! Do you? I want my walk with the Lord to be passionate, deep and wide.
Bearing these fruits is a constant journey. We can’t do this on our own. No matter what or how hard we try, we will fail. We need help. It’s only by the power of the Holy Spirit can we bear these fruits. He will help us, all we need to do is ask.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the poweroftheHolySpirit.
Romans 15: 13
I’m so excited to begin this devotional study in October. We will be diving into this in homeschool too. You are free to join me this month on this Fruits of the Spirit journey. Let’s work on our fruits together to be better Moms, Wives and Daughters. So others may see Jesus in us. All for His honor and glory, not ours.
Blessings and Shalom,
Are you challenged to work on your fruits this month? I’d love to know who is joining in. It will be fun to interact and share.
When I was traveling in Wisconsin last Fall, I took this photo. What a beautiful lake it was! The sounds of the leaves dancing in the breeze was refreshing and exhilarating. As I reflected on this beautiful photograph this morning, the Lord reminded me of these verses about the tree planted by the water.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Not will cease from yielding fruit.
How blessed are those who reject the advice of the wicked, don’t stand on the way of sinners or sit where scoffers sit! Their delight is in Adonai’s Torah; on his Torah they meditate day and night. They are like trees planted by streams –they bear their fruit in season, their leaves never wither, everything they do succeeds.
As women of faith, we need to trust the Lord. When we do, we are like this beautiful tree. Full of hope and confidence. Our roots go deep and we stand strong. We are grounded and not afraid of the future storms. We continue to pray and know that Jesus is working everything out for our good.
No matter what you are going through today, be encouraged. In due season, you will see your prayers, the fruit of your labor produce a harvest. Keep praying and looking up women of God!

Every time I log on to pinterest, I am overwhelmed and over stimulated! Can you relate? Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely like Pinterest and enjoy it. It’s a great way for my creative juices to start flowing when I need a boost. However, I’ve noticed that many of the pins I see are about ideas and ways to grab my attention on doing. Doing lots of things and keeping me very busy. I see so many graphics staring at me. They are calling out for my attention to repin or click on them to explore the website from which they came. Before I know it, another hour has gone by spent on Pinterest. How can pinning be so involved? What am I really focusing on? Where are my priorities? Our lives can be a lot like Pinterest. We have so many areas of our lives calling out for our attention. So many boards to be pinned, but not enough time. We are busy doing, but are we doing the right thing?
As Moms, we can get very busy doing like our friend Martha. The Bible tells us in Luke 10:38-42 when Jesus came over to visit, Mary sat at His feet and listened to Him for a long time. Mean while, Martha was so busy cooking and cleaning. There was so much to do! Sound familiar? The longer Mary listened to Jesus, the angrier Martha got. She finally got so fed up and asked Jesus to tell her sister Mary to help her. However, Jesus told Martha she shouldn’t be upset, because Mary was doing what she was suppose to be doing. Listening and Worshipping at His feet.
Now, Martha was the total opposite of her sister Mary.
Martha cared about the cares of this world. I’m sure Mary did too, however, Mary cared more about her Caregiver.
Martha cared about schedules and making sure everything was just right. I’m sure Mary did too, however, Mary put the Lord first.
Martha depended on her hands to get things done. Mary focused on the Lord with her heart and gave it fully.
Martha was probably admired by many women at that time. She knew how to run a household and keep it going in tip top shape. Right? However, the difference between the two ladies was that Mary decided that she cared more about being with her Master. Martha cared more about her duties. She was distracted. Ouch! Does that strike a nerve? I love this illustration for us women. We can be so great at this and that. There’s nothing wrong with being a lovely homemaker and enjoying it. God created us to be creative and hard workers. Yes, we should have order in our home. Yet, when our doing takes us away from our time with the Lord, then it is a problem.
Be like Mary, A Worshipper Then, the Lord calls us and asks sweetly, “Will you be a Mary?”. Being like Mary is simple. It’s child-like. It is full of grace and surrender. We don’t have to perform or work for anything. We just rest, in our Lord and listen. How long before we bow down at our Master’s feet? How long before we cast away all the cares of this world to pay attention to our Care Giver? The Lord deserves all of our worship, first and foremost. He is not too busy for us. Thank God.
Stop. Focus on Him. When you focus on the Lord, all distractions are removed.
Worship at His feet, Be with the Lord Jesus and give Him first priority.
It is so good for us to be in His presence, where we are made strong. That’s where we belong ladies. We are in His protection and love. Deep love. The good news is that we can be a Mary right now. We can change directions at any time and decide that nothing or no one is more important than our time spent with Jesus. Ask Him to help you today and give you the strength to put down other things that are taking your attention and time away from Him. Ask forgiveness for putting other idols before Him. Then, just bask in His presence and worship our Mighty Master. It’s time to fall deeply in love again. Just be at His feet. He is crazy about you sister! All that house work can wait. You have His permission. It’s so good to be a worshipper, isn’t it?! Yes it is. Blessings and Shalom,

Let’s just face it! We can wake up one morning, and well, things may not go as planned. It’s frustrating and disappointing. Sometimes, we face tough times for a day, a week, a month or a season.
During the time when my husband Ruben was out of work and we were trying to make it all work out, it seemed never ending. Yes, it felt like a never ending story and every day I woke up wondering if this was the day when a brink of light would come shining through.
Homeschooling during that time was challenging.
My mind was constantly thinking about bills to be paid, wondering how to make groceries last, gas money for the car, working my business to make money, yada, yada. . .
I felt like I was slowly losing my grip on this “homeschool journey”. Help!!
I knew I couldn’t quit and I didn’t want to, I just needed to refocus. I needed to pray.
Recently, one evening as I remembered this past “stormy” year, I took some time to write down ways that helped me weather the storms of life.
You may be going through a trial right now? And if you aren’t, then you are probably coming out of one or one is on the way. Trials are a way of life. We can’t negate them from our lives, too bad huh? I know! Boo hoo. Reality is that we can learn and grow from them.
Best of all, we can decide how we will press on through them! There’s no other way around it.
It’s like waiting in the airport. You are sitting down anxious and waiting to board your plane, when you see through the windows that there is a storm brewing.
That means you will be flying through a storm.
Well, you can’t change your flight now! The flight attendant calls your boarding group.
That lump in your throat grows thicker, and your heart races harder.
You board the plane, take your seat, buckle up for the flight and PRAY.
It’s time to fly through the storm! No, better yet, above it!
Flying Above the Storm
Have any of you been through this lately? I had a number of flying situations in my past travels such as this one and every time the Lord used it to test my faith. Did you know that an eagle flies above the storm and not through it? Success is flying above and conquering the storm!
Storms are unpredictable. You don’t know when they will come or how long they will last.
There is beauty after the storm. The sun appears again.
A rainbow comes forth and shines through.
The dirt is wet and fresh. The soil is fertile again. New growth!
How exciting it is to see our trials in this light.
Here are 10 ways I learned to fly through the storm and even above it! Enjoy your flight.
Your situation does not define you, however it is your trial that gives you a testimony of triumph for others to have hope and belief.
10. Never Quit!
It’s not an option.
You can take a break, slow down your race, but keep running the race of endurance! Keep flying and keep going Mom! You can do it!
Art by our “little Princess”
Let me encourage you today that no matter what you are going through sister, the Lord Almighty will never let you down, never fail you and never stop loving you. He holds you in the shadow of His wings. Steady and still. Believe me, I know. Jesus loves you Mom! Keep pressing on. Blessings and Shalom,
