On Day 31 of Praying for Your Child, we are praying for our children to follow Jesus.

31 Days of Praying for Your Child:  Day 31

Psalm 23: 1-2
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.

Dear Father,
You are my child’s shepherd. Their care is your personal concern and they will never be without anything they truly need. Lead them today and every day into places and experiences where their souls will be revived and their spiritual passion will be continually restored.  In times of crisis, come through for my children oh God.  Display your lavish affection for them and may your unfailing goodness and tender mercies surround my children all the days of their life.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen!

Today is a special day not only because is it our last day in the challenge, but it is also my birthday.

As a reward for you finishing up the challenge and as a way to bless you on my birthday, I created a special gift just for you.

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

Israel has been on my heart lately.

This week, there has been numerous attacks against God’s Holy land.  In response to protecting their land,  Israel has also struck back.  It’s so hard to imagine sirens continuously sounding off with only a 15 second warning to run for safety.  The feelings of uncertainty rise in the air.  The air is thick, my friend.  My people are constantly being bombarded with warnings, terror and fear.  It saddens me and makes me feel so helpless.   However, I am not hopeless, because I can pray.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee.  Psalm 122: 6

As a believer in Jesus,  you and I have a mandate to pray for Israel.

It’s easy to deny it.  It’s also easy to look the other way and go along with your everyday life.

However, we must not relent!

We must respond with prayer.

Genesis 12:1-3 says,

We must bless Israel and continue to lift up of Israel in prayer for God’s protection in these days.

No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.
Isaiah 54: 17

Pray for the salvation of Israel.  Pray that the blinders on their eyes will be opened to see Yeshua Jesus as their Messiah.

Jesus spoke, ‚ÄúYerushalayim! Yerushalayim! You kill the prophets! You stone those who are sent to you! How often I wanted to gather your children, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you refused!  Look! God is abandoning your house to you! I tell you, you will not see me again until you say,‚ÄėBlessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai!‚Äô‚ÄĚ  Luke 13: 34-35

Pray for the nations that are coming against Israel.
For Jesus says to pray for our enemies.  Yes, even the enemies of Israel need salvation.

You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.’ 44“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. . . “.  Matthew 5: 43-44

As a mother, I think about those sweet precious Israeli mamas at this time.  The mamas who are doing their best to take care of their children and husbands in the midst of turmoil.

How do they remain strong?  How would I remain strong if I were in their situation?

Do you ever think like this?

How do you remain hopeful in a dangerous situation?

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.‚ÄĚ Joshua 1:9

Here is a short video clip to gain an understanding of how challenging a 15 second warning is for an Israeli mom.  Click Here to see video:  http://youtu.be/sThbTtJGaBY

Although, this is a dangerous time, there is hope.

For I know what plans I have in mind for you,‚Äô says Adonai,‚Äėplans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29: 11

We don’t have to fear!  For our Lord our God is with His people who love Him.

For His name is called Immanuel- God is with us.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  2 Timothy 1:7

Turn your eyes upon Adonai,  keep your focus on Him.

Focus your minds on the things above, not on things here on earth.
Colossians 3:2

A year ago, my family and I were going through a hard time when our faith was being tested.  One morning, I sat down at the computer and wrote a blog post entitled, “20 Bible Verses For Trusting God in Hard Times“.

That day, I also created a printable that I framed and placed in my living room and office to remind me to trust Jesus everyday, no matter what!

Trust in ADONAI with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding.”Proverbs 3:5

I’m sharing this printable with you today as an encouragement to place in your home.

I love the name of Jesus and His Hebrew name is Yeshua.

On this printable, I used His name Yeshua which means the Lord of salvation.

May it remind you to pray for Israel and to keep your trust in Yeshua always.

Thank you for letting me share my heart with you today.

May you have a restful sabbath weekend.

The Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you.  May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.  Numbers 6: 24-26

Blessings and Shalom

Fruit of the Spirit Kid’s Lesson-Free Printable

Happy Monday!

Lately, in our home church Bible time, we‚Äôve been learning about Galatians 5: 22-23 on the fruits of the Spirit.  The kids have been having a ball and I can see their growth.  I have 5 kids in our class ages 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and they are all cousins.  So this really works great for all primary ages.  Do you want a fun free lesson and free printable for your kiddies?
Here ya go!

For the lesson I used this great lesson from Free Children’s Bible Lessons.blogspot.com

Free Lesson-Filled up with Righteousness

Next, the children worked on this Free printable I created about being filled up with the fruits of the Spirit.  The children color themselves the way they look that day and then cut out and paste the fruits all over their picture.  The kids had fun with this!

Then, the children finished up their Fruits of the Spirit Mini book that they had started last week.   This FREE printable comes from Christian Preschool Printables which has many free Bible resources.

The kids couldn’t wait to tape them to the kitchen pantry doors!

Hope you have as much fun as we did learning about the fruits of the Spirit.

Have a beautiful week!
Blessings and Shalom,

5 Easy Fall Decor Ideas and Free Fall Printable

Time for Fall!  I’ts my favorite time of the year.  Even though it’s still warm here in the desert, I felt that urge to pull out all the fall decor and put away the summer blue coastal decor.  After all it was the last day of summer and while we were preparing for Sukkot, it just made sense. What a fun project!  Plus it’s all on a budget.  Yes!

I never unpacked my Fall decor box since our move, so it was easy to find.
Do any of you have a box like this?  Well I’m sort of organized.  So it’s not in a nice clear tub, oh well!

Oops! I labled it “Thanksgiving”.  Ha ha, the things you’ll do when you are packing.

How to Decorate a Baker’s Rack for Fall?
I first started with my bakers rack in our kitchen/dining area.  This is one of my oldest pieces of furniture we bought when we were first married.  This piece has been used for various things and in many rooms.  It’s so adaptable and since I don’t have a china cabinet, it’s my special piece that gets to be all decked out for the seasons.

Now, I love victorian decor with a little bit of French country, modern trend and some retro 50’s in there.  It’s fun to mix it all in.  So here we go!

I have a picture frame I painted white and embellished it.  I change it out when I feel like it.  Sometimes I just put scrapbook paper inside and use a dry erase marker and write whatever I want.  This time, I changed it for fall and created my own printable which I’m so excited about because I’m sharing it with you!

I have pottery dishes that my sweet Grandmother gave me when I was a little girl.  I’ve kept them and they always look so pretty with fall decor, special tea cups, I’d say!

I enjoy displaying my white tea pot and placed underneath is a pretty crocheted pot holder.

I love orange and green for fall.
Orange leaves mixed with blues is pretty.
Country mixed with pretty white dishes.
I display my Precious Moments tea pot for Fall every year.

I layer my dishes to make room for them all! Here are some more of my pottery that I received from my Grandmother.
I love this crocheted apron from my Grandmother that was made in the
1950’s.  I display this by simply hanging it and tying it with a pretty bow.

I had extra leaves from dollar store and just tied them onto a string of flat lace to make a simple garland.  I love using flat vintage laces for garland.

Project Baker’s Rack finished!
As you can see I added my cute little pumpkin on the very top!  I’ll be adding more as we get closer to Thanksgiving, but for now, it’s all about gently ushering in the Fall season.

Fall Centerpiece
Now on to the table scheme.  I love adding orange, green and earthy colors.
I created this with some beans at base.  That’s it.  Very earthy, I might say. Simple it is. And we must not forget our candles!

Deck the Mirrors
Adding a pretty fall piece to any mirror hanging in your home gives it that Victorian holiday flair.

Apple Pear Cinnamon Delight
Want a yummy fall treat for the family? This is great mixed in hot oatmeal or just as a side dish. Here’s an easy peasy fun treat you could make in your sleep!

Apple Pear Cinnamon Delight RECIPE:
2 apples
2 pears
1 TBSP cinnamon
2 TBSP of lemon or lime juice
1 TBSP powdered sugar

Chop up fruit.  Combine in bowl.  Drizzle lime/lemon juice over top.

Sprinkle Cinnamon and powdered sugar.
Mix before serving.

I hope you were inspired by my Fall ideas!
These are just a few ideas for you to get started and to use what you already have in your own home.  It pays to keep all of the seasonal items together and organized by colors.  I enjoy seeing how others decorate their home for Fall too.  Here are some links for more fall inspiration.

Teaching The Bible to Kids {Free Bible Lesson Plan}

Bible Lesson Plan

Homeschooling can be the greatest time to learn the Bible together.  This is our most favorite subject in our homeschool day!  Teaching the Bible can be overwhelming because you really have so much you can dive into and learn.

I find that if I have a simple guide, then I can organize my thoughts and focus on what we really want to get out of the bible story, verse, etc. . .

For me, I decided to make a simple lesson plan for Bible and it has helped me as a basic guideline.

I am sharing this with you as a FREE PRINTABLE to help you get started!
