How to Overcome Jealousy, the Evil Root {Women in the Word}

I have a problem.  I look around the blogger world and find sometimes I just don’t measure up.  No matter how hard I try, I just can’t keep up.   Basicly, it’s hard to be someone I’m not.  Yet, daily I find myself getting caught in the trap of comparison.  Jealousy creeps in and before I know it, I’ve grown a field of evil roots.  Yes, it’s hard to admit.  I’m writing this post because I feel it’s something many of us struggle with, yet the one thing we fail to admit.

When I was in high school choir, I was jealous of the girl who sang better than me.

When I became a Christian, I was jealous of the woman who knew more Bible than me.

When I attended homeschool co-op groups, I was jealous of other moms who had many children, because I only had one.

Do you ever get jealous?   Jeolousy is an evil root to deal with, but it can be defeated.   The Bible tells us in James 3:16, “For where there are jealousy and selfish ambition, there will be disharmony and every foul practice”.  Jealousy brings about other sinful habits and curses in our lives.  We have no peace or shalom when we harbor jealousy.  How do we overcome this evil root?  By destroying it at the root and making sure it doesn’t shoot up again.  We must change our thinking and intentionally execute a strategy.  If you’re struggling with jealousy today, here are 5 ways you can overcome jealousy in your life!

1.  Be honest with yourself.  Admit you have a jealousy problem.  Confess it to God and ask forgiveness.
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

2.  Don’t compare yourself to others.  Instead put your focus on Jesus.  When our eyes look away from Him and start looking around at others, we become like Peter.  Peter walked on the water, but began to sink when he took his eyes off of his Master.  You are unique and special in Jesus’ eyes.  His approval is all that matters.  When you’re looking into Jesus’ eyes,  you can see yourself the way God sees you.  All insecurities vanish, when we remember we are a daughter of the King.

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.  And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith . . . “.

3.  Rejoice over the success of others.  Instead of feeling sorry for yourself for what others have and you don’t, be happy for them.  We must not be selfish.  One day, you will be celebrating a success, and will appreciate others celebrating with you.  This can be hard for women especially,  but complimenting another woman for her success brings true joy to yours and her heart.  It’s a win win situation.
Romans 12:15 When others are happy, be happy with them.  If they are sad, share their sorrow.

4.  Be an encourager of others.  Jealousy can drive a wedge between relationships.  It’s important to keep encouraging one another.  Instead of allowing jealousy to win, fight back with an encouraging word, or action.  Have you heard of the phrase, “kill them with kindness”?  Well, I say, “Kill jealousy with kindness!”.
Hebrews 10:24  Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds.

5.   Continually evaluate your inward heart.  What helps me is studying Bible verses to keep my heart where it’s suppose to be.  When I have the Word of God fresh in my mind, I can choose to make better decisions about my feelings and actions.
Romans 7: 22  I love God’s law with all my heart.

2 Corinthians 4: 16  This is why we do not lose courage. Though our outer self is heading for decay, our inner self is being renewed daily.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Jealousy may be an evil root, but with God’s strategy, we can conquer it daily.

How are some ways you deal with jealousy?

Blessings and Shalom,

Women in the Word {The Fear of the Lord}

Yesterday during Bible time in homeschool, Hadara and I were studying Proverbs 15:6.  It’s not one of those popular verses in the Bible.  In fact, one that I hardly knew existed.  However, this one is packed with punch and spoke loudly to me.

Now, let’s read Proverbs 15: 6

Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.

As we talked about what turmoil means, I looked it up.  It’s not a pleasant word.  One that I would want to stay far from my life or anyone’s life for that matter.

Turmoil, a state of great disturbance, confusion or uncertainty.  Trouble and mayhem!  Who wants that?

The fear of the Lord is the key here.  Without the fear of the Lord in our life, we can manifest turmoil in our life.  So, even if we have little, as long as we have the fear of the Lord we have everything!  For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36).  Wealth is not bad, but without the fear of the Lord in your life, riches are meaningless.  You have nothing!

So, let’s flip it!  The opposite of disturbance and confusion is peace.  The opposite of uncertainty is having complete confidence and trust in the Lord for our present and future.  Since we know we are His and no matter what happens in our life, we have one destination and that’s to be with Jesus!

Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding”.    Isn’t it wise to choose peace over turmoil?
Blesssed assurance over uncertainty?   A sound mind over being disturbed?
Definitely!

Without Jesus in my life, I remember a time when I was very disturbed, confused and very uncertain about my future and my eternal destiny.  That was not a fun or good place to be.  It’s a painful place.  Lonely and fearful.

Yet, my life changed the moment I chose to walk in the fear of the Lord.  I ponder why many do not choose this path when it’s a beautiful path of love, joy and peace.  Jesus calms the storms in our lives.  Yes, there will be storms, but during those times, I don’t want to be apart from Him.  For He is my safety and my strong tower when the waves come crashing in.

As a woman of God, we must remember daily that the fear of the Lord is a very important key in our faith walk.  As mothers, it’s important to teach this to our children.  It’s important to check our hearts daily to see if the fear of the Lord is prevalently living and existing in our lives and hearts.  I think this verse is actually a good test to see where we are and to be intentional in our faith walk.

When I feel disturbed, confused or uncertain, I must pay attention.  I must get alone with God and ask Him. Do I still have the fear of the Lord?  Whether I have much or little.  During a time of feast or famine.  I must seek Him.

Today, I encourage you to seek the God of peace, Jehovah Shalom.  If you are battling a time in your life of turmoil, I pray that you seek His peace.  May you and your family be sheltered in His peace today.  No matter what you’re going through.

I hope this encouraged you, because I felt led to share and hopefully it will help you like it helped me too.  Have a beautiful day!

Blessings and Shalom,

Snow in the Desert {A Word for the New Year 2015}

How was your New Years Day?

We received a little gift from Heaven here at the Little Pink Casa.  It snowed!   Well, maybe a little drizzle, but it came down for one hour.  From the photos, it looks like nothing, but watch our vlog here for a closer look.  Either way, Hadara and I danced around in it like little girls.  We giggled with delight as we watched it fall from the sky.   It was so beautiful, fun, and amazing!

Snow is rare in the valley of the sun, and usually only Northern Arizona sees snowfall.   Yet, it was so refreshing to receive a little gift of winter on the first day of the new year 2015!

I’ve lived in Arizona all my life and haven’t experienced snow much.  For that reason, I get ecstatic when this occurs.  It’s a seldom act.

The best part about this story begins earlier in the day-New Years Eve.  I heard on the local news that cities surrounding our area were receiving snowfall.    When I heard this, I told Hadara to pray with me that it would snow at our house.  That evening, we spent our time with my parents at their home, but we had to come back early.   Ruben worked the next day so Hadara and I stayed up waiting for the clock to strike midnight.   We heard our neighbors outside across the street and looked out the window when we saw snow falling.  We grabbed our coats and ran outside.  I couldn’t believe it!  We prayed and just like that, right on time . . . the snow came.

Later today, I felt the Lord was speaking through this beautiful gift of snow.  He was showing me something.

Snow falling in the desert as the new year begins.  Rare.  Crazy.   One in a billion chances.  The Lord is definitely speaking.   I think about the feelings and thoughts I experienced at that moment when I stood there looking up at the sky and watched the beautiful snow flakes fall.  God shows us His signs continuously.  He is always speaking to us.
Here are a four things I felt the Lord was speaking to me about this special snowfall.

First, snow is refreshing.  The Lord is going to do a new thing this year.  It will be a refreshing to your soul.
Second, snow is white and pure.  As the Lord is Holy, the Bible says to be Holy.  (1Peter 1:16).  He is ELOHIM KEDOSHIM = Holy God (Josh. 24:19).  Only Jesus can wash away our sin through His blood.  Get your household in right standing with God.  When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. (Proverbs 31:21)   Rejoice in purity this year, don’t be ashamed of it.
Third, snow brings joy.  I felt like giggling as the snow fell and softly touched my face.  Remember the joy of the Lord is your strength in 2015.
Lastly, snow makes us feel like a child again.  Snow angels, snowballs, and sledding all bring sweet visions in our head of children or reminders of when we were kids.  Child-like faith is what the Lord loves from us.  It’s time to climb up on your Daddy’s (Abba) lap and rest in Him as a child.

The Word
There are many Bible verses that talk about snow.  Yet, this one stood out to me.

Isaiah 55:10-11

10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

There are three messages that come from this that I believe are for 2015.

1.  God Provides

2.  God is Faithful

3.  God’s Will Prevails

God provides in the desert, in the weary and dry places and in the fruitful plains.  Have faith for this new year that God will provide what you need and Provision is coming to your land.   He is JEHOVAH JIREH= the Lord will Provide.

God is faithful in the little things to show you how much He loves you.  When we see God move in the little things, we have faith to trust Him with the Big things.  Live this year knowing that no matter what you go through, God is faithful.  He is EL AMAN = Faithful God (Deut. 7:9)

God’s will prevails.  I heard a wise teaching from Dr. Jane Glenchur  explaining, when we pray,  ask God what is on His heart.   What is your will Father?  He knows the future.  He already knows.  He is wisdom.  He gives wisdom.  This year, instead of trying to figure things out with your own understanding or make decisions based on human thinking, ask God.  He’ll speak and all you have to do is listen.   He is ELOHIM = God (Gen 1:1)

This is also a year of grace.  For 2015 has a five in it and five in Hebrew means grace.  Pray for God’s grace in your situations.  Watch and see how God’s grace manifests in your life for things you have been asking for and praying for this year.  Even in everyday things, God’s grace is sufficient.  2 Corinthians 12: 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Friend, I rarely write posts like these, so if it comes off a little different, I just felt led to share it with you.    I don’t know you personally, but God does.  He knows what you need to hear.  May it be a blessing and an encouragement to you!  Please feel free to comment if any of these things mean anything to you.  That would encourage me so much.  I look forward to hearing your input or what God is also showing you about this new year.

Blessings and Shalom,

What memories did you make on the first day of 2015?

Are You Ready to Be a Princess Bride? {Making Yourself Ready for the King}

Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to Him.  For the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.   Revelation 19: 7

I longed for the day to be a bride.  Everything  I had imagined of walking down the aisle was about to happen.  I was adorned, radiant and ready to meet my groom, Ruben at the altar.

When I awoke that spring morning, the sun was out, flowers blooming, and a beautiful light cool breeze a blowing.  I gently lifted the bed sheets and covers over my face, as I told my Jesus, “thank you for this perfect day”.

All the planning, dreaming and waiting was over.

The time had come.  As I took my Father’s arm he slowly walked me down the long outdoor path.  At that moment, I was ready to meet my groom.  I recalled all those precious memories that brought me to this day.  The journey was clear now.   I waited upon my Abba Father for this day to finally arrive.

My Abba Father had carried me these past years with my arm tucked into His.   Now He would be carrying both Ruben and I on this marriage journey.  All three of us walking side by side, the rest of life’s path.  Pursuing the call on our lives together.

I walked down that aisle with eyes focused forward.  Then, Ruben’s eyes met mine, we stood there before God to be joined in Holy matrimony.

God’s peace was eminent.  Shalom.

No one or nothing could interrupt this set and appointed time. A beginning of a destiny that had been sowed in our lives was now giving birth.   We were ready to heed the call.

Eternity

Destiny

For we were becoming one flesh.

Where ever Jesus would lead us from here, we would follow.

My Reflections:

When I wrote this journal entry twelve years ago, I didn’t realize how symbolic it would be for today.  I’m amazed as I read this, years later, how it compares to the relationship we have with Jesus our Messiah and His return.  For such a time as this!  The Lord has asked me share this with you.  Praise God!

Don’t you just love how the analogy of Jesus and His church compares to the Holy marriage of a bride and groom?

Do you remember when you were a bride?

Do you remember the love and expectation you had for your future husband?

Today, I want to paint a picture for you.

I want you to realize how beautiful and noble the role of a Bride truly is to God.

In this world, the term Bride has been downplayed, abused and fornicated.  However, to our Abba Father, His Bride is a perfect princess.

The Bride of Christ is truly a Princess Bride.

So, I ask you, “Are you ready”?

Are you ready to be a Princess Bride?

Next month, I’m beginning a new bible study called, “Princess Bride” where you will learn how to prepare yourselves as a Princess Bride ready for her King.  My hope and desire is that you will join me in this beautiful, yet challenging series.  This is the time to make yourself ready for the King.  He is coming and He is coming soon!

Now, I know that calling this study, “Princess Bride” may get some asking, “what about the guys?”.   I can totally understand your concern.  As we know in the Bible, the analogy used “bride of Christ” does not put emphasis on gender, but on relationship.

I also write for women and that’s you!  Little Pink Casa is devoted to encouraging women in Biblical teaching and cultivating a Christ-centered home.  This study is focusing on you as a woman preparing yourself as the Princess Bride of Christ, however, the teaching is relevant for women and men.  We all are called to be ready and prepared for the coming return of Jesus and to also live our lives ready at all times here on this earth.

As a added bonus, I have formed a closed group on Facebook dedicated just for “Princess Bride” bible study ladies.  This will be a safe place for us to connect, share and chat about the study as we go along.   Click here to check it out and to join our group called, Bible Study Clubs-Little Pink Casa and Friends.

I’m so excited!  How about you?

More to come just for you!

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

Israel has been on my heart lately.

This week, there has been numerous attacks against God’s Holy land.  In response to protecting their land,  Israel has also struck back.  It’s so hard to imagine sirens continuously sounding off with only a 15 second warning to run for safety.  The feelings of uncertainty rise in the air.  The air is thick, my friend.  My people are constantly being bombarded with warnings, terror and fear.  It saddens me and makes me feel so helpless.   However, I am not hopeless, because I can pray.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee.  Psalm 122: 6

As a believer in Jesus,  you and I have a mandate to pray for Israel.

It’s easy to deny it.  It’s also easy to look the other way and go along with your everyday life.

However, we must not relent!

We must respond with prayer.

Genesis 12:1-3 says,

We must bless Israel and continue to lift up of Israel in prayer for God’s protection in these days.

No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.
Isaiah 54: 17

Pray for the salvation of Israel.  Pray that the blinders on their eyes will be opened to see Yeshua Jesus as their Messiah.

Jesus spoke, “Yerushalayim! Yerushalayim! You kill the prophets! You stone those who are sent to you! How often I wanted to gather your children, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you refused!  Look! God is abandoning your house to you! I tell you, you will not see me again until you say,‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai!’”  Luke 13: 34-35
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

Pray for the nations that are coming against Israel.
For Jesus says to pray for our enemies.  Yes, even the enemies of Israel need salvation.

You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.’ 44“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. . . “.  Matthew 5: 43-44

As a mother, I think about those sweet precious Israeli mamas at this time.  The mamas who are doing their best to take care of their children and husbands in the midst of turmoil.

How do they remain strong?  How would I remain strong if I were in their situation?

Do you ever think like this?

How do you remain hopeful in a dangerous situation?

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Here is a short video clip to gain an understanding of how challenging a 15 second warning is for an Israeli mom.  Click Here to see video:  http://youtu.be/sThbTtJGaBY

Although, this is a dangerous time, there is hope.

For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says Adonai,‘plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29: 11

We don’t have to fear!  For our Lord our God is with His people who love Him.

For His name is called Immanuel- God is with us.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  2 Timothy 1:7

Turn your eyes upon Adonai,  keep your focus on Him.

Focus your minds on the things above, not on things here on earth.
Colossians 3:2

A year ago, my family and I were going through a hard time when our faith was being tested.  One morning, I sat down at the computer and wrote a blog post entitled, “20 Bible Verses For Trusting God in Hard Times“.

That day, I also created a printable that I framed and placed in my living room and office to remind me to trust Jesus everyday, no matter what!

Trust in ADONAI with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding.”Proverbs 3:5

I’m sharing this printable with you today as an encouragement to place in your home.

I love the name of Jesus and His Hebrew name is Yeshua.

On this printable, I used His name Yeshua which means the Lord of salvation.

May it remind you to pray for Israel and to keep your trust in Yeshua always.

Thank you for letting me share my heart with you today.

May you have a restful sabbath weekend.

The Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you.  May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.  Numbers 6: 24-26

Blessings and Shalom

Beauty in the Desert: How to Bloom in the Dry Places of Life

As flowers bloom, so does my soul
Even in dry places, I will flourish.
For you are my living water.
Lord, you are my beauty in the desert.
Rosenda Valenzuela

Have you ever been in a spiritual desert?

A dry place where you may feel alone, wonder where God is?

You may feel like you are working the ground, planting the seed, yet water is no where to be found.

Where is the rain you may ask?  You look up to the sky. The sun feels hot.

You thirst for water.

When will you see the fruit of your labor?   When will you taste a drop of water?

Sometimes as Wives and Moms, we can feel like we are living in a spiritual desert.

Staying up late with sick children.  Waking up early to nurse the baby can make us weary.

Continuously praying for specific petitions when we aren’t seeing the answers can be discouraging.

Dealing with a troubled teen or a rocky marriage can be frustrating.

We are all at different places on our special life journey.

However, when we are in that desert place, we need to look up and not just see the chaos, but see the beauty God is creating from it.
Can good come from the desert?

I’ve lived in the desert all my life.  Arizona is a dry land.  As I grew up not appreciating my own homeland, I longed for green grass, lush vegetation beautiful gardens of flowers and blooming trees.   I would cry, “Lord get me out of this desert!”.

Well I’m still here. (ahem)

Many come to Arizona to see the beauty of our mountains and cacti.  I’m always amazed and  wonder what do they see in all of this brown dirt?   What good can come from the desert?

my little magnolia tree
When I got married, the first thing I wanted to do in our little yard, was plant pink flowers and a sweet little magnolia tree.  Well, magnolia trees aren’t native to desert soil.  Yes, I was stubborn.  As you can see in this photograph, I was determined.   Ruben and I drove down to the nearest nursery and bought a magnolia tree.  We planted it in our little yard.
Can you see where this is going?  I found out it takes more than just planting a tree to see the fruit.

It took selfless care, extra water, plenty of nourishment and patience.

Miraculously, that magnolia tree grew the first year we lived at our first home.

I was so happy and every time I looked at those big white petals,  I was reminded that there is hope in the desert.
When we moved from that house, I was sad because I couldn’t take my magnolia tree with me, but I took the lesson I learned.  There is always beauty in the desert

A few a days ago, almost 16 years later,  in our desert yard, I was reminded again.

This time, our cactus bloomed it’s first spring petals.  It was a sweet surprise, a gentle reminder.  A kiss from God.  He’s so good like that, isn’t He?
And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.   Isaiah 58: 11
During the dry places in our lives, we can be rest assured that the Lord is with us.  He is our strength.  He makes all things beautiful in His time.   Let me repeat that.  The key is in His time.  Only with patience and persistence can we can see this and taste His living water.  Oh and let me tell you, it is good!

God uses those things which we think are ugly and not worth the time or effort to teach us a lesson.  A good lesson.   A time of testing and trial may be what it takes to make us thirst deeply for Him.  Only for Him.

Yes, there is a purpose for a dry place.

What God sees is not what we see.   Thank God for that!

Aren’t we like this cactus bloom in the desert?

Yet, we are sinners, God’s grace covers us with His garments of forgiveness and praise.

And from nothing, He has made beauty.  You are His workmanship.  You are His beauty.
I’ve written some Bible verses for further study if you are experiencing some dry places in your life right now.  Take time to read these scriptures and be encouraged.  You are not alone.

Lately, in our home church Bible time, we’ve been learning about Galatians 5: 22-23 on the fruits of the Spirit.  The kids have been having a ball and I can see their growth.  I have 5 kids in our class ages 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and they are all cousins.  So this really works great for all primary ages.  Do you want a fun free lesson and free printable for your kiddies?
Here ya go!

For the lesson I used this great lesson from Free Children’s Bible Lessons.blogspot.com

Free Lesson-Filled up with Righteousness

Next, the children worked on this Free printable I created about being filled up with the fruits of the Spirit.  The children color themselves the way they look that day and then cut out and paste the fruits all over their picture.  The kids had fun with this!

Then, the children finished up their Fruits of the Spirit Mini book that they had started last week.   This FREE printable comes from Christian Preschool Printables which has many free Bible resources.

The kids couldn’t wait to tape them to the kitchen pantry doors!

A Blessing For the Wife

DAY 5:  “A BLESSING FOR the wife”.

{5 DAYS OF BLESSINGS  FOR YOUR FAMILY SERIES}

{Days 1 thru 5}

Day 5:  Blessing For The Wife

Welcome back to my 5 Days of Blessings For The Family Series!  Today is Day 5 and it’s all about the Wife.  Yes, it’s our turn ladies!  We are the one who God entrusts to build our home.  We are building our lovely home upon the rock of Christ.  That includes our marriage.   First, we are a wife to our husband, then a mother to our children.  Sometimes we can get that all out of order.   With so much going on, our conflicting schedules or just kids running around the house . . . you get the picture.

By the way, I found this sweet pic from my favorite musical, “Fiddler on the Roof“.  During this scene, the family has just watched their Mother light the candles to usher in the Sabbath or Shabbat.  Soon, the song of the Blessing will be sung by both the wife and husband.  I love how the children look upon their Mother with love, honor and admiration.  They are looking to her for direction, guidance and wisdom.  They are ready to receive their blessing, yet they in turn bless her, their Mom.

Now, notice how the husband looks upon his wife in this scene.  He stands across from her.  You can see the honor he has for her in his eyes.  Most of all, you can see his love for her.  Clearly, the week has gone by and maybe he hadn’t noticed her.  Until this moment, he is reminded of how beautiful she is to him.  He sees her for the lovely wife he has come to deeply love.  Through good times and bad.  God has blessed him with a virtuous wife.

Isn’t it wonderful when our husbands love us deeply?  It may seem that a husband can go through their busy days and weeks only to forget to look deeply into the eyes of their wife.  Marriage is hard work.  It takes sacrifice, perseverance, forgiveness and love.  It is a blessing for the husband to pray and bless his wife. Most importantly it is a gift of love. The Bible is clear:

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.  In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.  Ephesians 5:25-28

So today the blessing for the wife is adapted from Proverbs 31:10-31 and also from John D Garrr’s book entitled, The Book of Blessings, Ancient Biblical Blessings for Every Occasion.  You can also find these and many other blessings in this book entitled, Bless You by John D. Garr.
When your husband blesses you with these words, it will affirm his love for you and his love for Jesus.  I definitely feel my husband’s love after these beautiful words are affirmed over me.  Be blessed Daughter of the King!

Blessing

What a rare find is a capable wife!
Your worth is far beyond that of rubies.
As your husband I can put my confidence in you and I lack no good thing.
You are good to me, never bad, all the days of your life. . .
You give generously to the poor; your hands are stretched out to the needy. . .
As your husband I am prominent in the gates, as I sit among the elders of the land. . .
You look to the future cheerfully.
Your mouth is full of wisdom, your tongue with kindly teaching.
You oversee the activities of your household and never eat the bread of idleness.
Your children declare you happy.
As your husband I praise you, “Many women have done well, but you surpass them all.
It is for your fear of the Lord that a woman is to be praised.
I Extol you for the fruit of your hand, and let your works praise you in the gates.
In finding you, my wife, I have found happiness, and I have won the favor of the Lord.

An Encouraging Word for Women: It’s Time to Worship!

How beautiful are you O Lord, you are worthy to be praised.
I magnify you!
Here’s the beautiful sunrise photo

Bless the Lord, Oh my soul,
O my soul
Worship His Holy Name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name.

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning,
It’s time to sing Your song again.
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me,
Let me be singing when the evening comes.

I’m reminded of this beautiful worship song by Jonas Myrin and Matt Redman today.
A few years ago, I woke up early one morning and when I opened the shutters, I was overwhelmed with the most beautiful sunrise.  I called Princess into the room and told her to look up! I encouraged her to look at the beautiful sunrise the Lord gave us that special morning.

At that moment, my heart leaped with joy.  Joy because I could sense how new the day was.  I could feel how precious the Lord is when He is gracious and full of compassion towards us.

I just stood there amazed, looking out the window and took photos of the different stages as the sun rose.

The Lord reminded me of how He created me and created the world.  He is the one true God!  Adonai, Elohim, Yeshua, Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer.   He is all powerful and in control of my life.  No matter what happens today or tomorrow.  I trust Him all the way!

At that moment, I was filled with a grateful heart and so much love because of all He does for me, my family and for all of us.  He gives us new mercy.  Every morning is a new chance.  A new day to start a new.  We can leave what happened yesterday behind us.  We can sing a new song again!

During this season as we are getting ready to enter September,  I sense an urgency for me to seek Him more.  I desire to be closer to my Lord more than ever before.  I wrote this post because I felt that the Lord wanted me to share this with you.

Moms, women, daughters, we need Him so much, but most of all, He wants you so much!

It’s time to Worship!

Take some time this morning and yes even in all the craziness of life, focus on the Lord!  Now is the time!  Don’t wait.  Don’t wait another second.  Put the phone down. Turn away from the computer after you read this post.  Let the laundry wait.  Be a Mary today, a worshipper.  Worship at His feet.

We can get so busy doing, and working and homeschooling and couponing and blogging, etc . . . that we lose focus on spending time with the Lord.  I know how hard it is, and I am growing in this area too!

I encourage you today to spend time with the King of Kings and let Him love on you!

Repent, cry out to the Lord, sing a new song of praise, and lay all your burdens down before Him.

Sister, you are loved.  Today is your new day!  No matter what you have done.  Come as you are.  He is waiting for you with love in His eyes.

A prayer for you

Lord, I pray for this sister right now.

That you would draw her attention to You!
I pray that she would feel Your love
and know that You are with her in this life journey.
Help us to forget yesterday and be forgiven for the past
and to live in the newness of Your mercies today and every day.
Help us to focus only on you Lord and trust you
with everything.  We want you Jesus!
More of you Jesus!
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Keep pressing on, beautiful!

Blessings and Shalom,
