New Year Goal Setting Tips!

Today I talk about goal setting and how I use my Life Planner to help me stay focused on my new year goals.  First of all there is a difference between goals and resolutions.  Many of us break our new year resolutions within two weeks of the new year.

Crazy as it seems, it’s true because resolutions are too general.  They are too broad and there’s no time set for accomplishing the resolution.  With resolutions, we have good intentions but still know that if we fall short, it’s ok.  However, goals keep us on our toes.  Goals are very specific and have a time set for when we want to accomplish the goal.  Goals keep us accountable and are a positive way to look at changing ourselves for the better.

It’s important to have goals in every part of our life.  This helps us stay focused on the different areas such as spiritual, relationship, family, marriage, physical, business/work and financial and so on.  What helps me focus on making goals is the use of a life planner.  In the video above I show you how I write down each goal for each area of my life.  It helps me be intentional and gives me a visual to see every morning as I plan my day and week.  Plus, it’s a scripture art life planner so it inspires me with Bible verses and pretty word art.  I’m excited to use it again in 2018.
