As the fall season comes, and the weather becomes cooler, I love to cook hot breakfasts. My family also loves to eat pumpkin this time of year. Actually the truth is we love to eat pumpkin spice anything! I love to make french toast as an alternative to pancakes and adding pumpkin spice to this recipe makes it tastes like the holidays.
Today, I share my easy Pumpkin Spice French Toast recipe. It’s perfect for a fall family breakfast or a Christmas morning brunch. Make ahead and freeze for a quick breakfast or make french toast sticks for the little ones. The options are endless!
Pumpkin Spice French Toast (Makes 4 servings)
4 pieces of apple cinnamon bread
1/2 cup milk (I use almond milk)
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp. cinnamon
Whisk together ingredients in mixing bowl. Pour into a pie plate. Coat and soak pieces of bread in liquid mixture. Cook both sides of bread on griddle. Top with butter, powdered sugar and maple syrup.
