I like to add ground turkey, but you can use any meat or keep it meatless. Sometimes, I’ll even add beef chorizo to give it a extra kick. Yum! My favorite part of this recipe is using the 13 bean soup mix by BoB’s Red Mill. The variety of beans give the chili it’s unique and tasty flavor.
This meal is great for a large family or small like ours. I like to make this for my church fellowship on Saturday and it feeds 12 people with left overs for breakfast (with eggs) or lunch (burritos) the next day. Seriously, I add some baked corn bread with butter and dinner’s a hit! So easy. 🙂
